‘Tis the season for teenagers on holiday break, and my artistic kids have been having fun diving in on painting (along with their mom) using all the cool art supplies we got them for Christmas. Not to be outdone, and to prove to the kiddos their old dad can whip up a portrait from scratch with the best of them, I put together this digital portrait of ALF, the star of his own sitcom back in the 90s. I grew up loving the cat-eating alien with a vaudevillian sense of humor, so much so that in inspired a whole Everly Heights story! 100% Photoshop + custom brushes.

The kids have, begrudgingly, admitted that their old dad might know a little more about making stuff than they were giving him credit for, which is probably the best Christmas present I could ask for.
