I’ve been a big fan of Zelda most of my adult life. A Link to the Past was the only Zelda game I’d ever played until I had kids of my own. When I got the munchkins, I’d play Wii games when I was on “kid duty” to get them into video games… Maybe I overdid it. I played The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for a few months and realized I freaking love Zelda! After that, I took a spin through every game in the series. I’ve beat every console game except Majora’s Mask (weird mechanic) and the NES games. I’m a fan. My kids are fans. Tears of the Kingdom was a big year around here…
Anyway, I love Zelda. I also like poetry, open mics, and social commentary disguised as drama… Hence, this week’s episode!

A Secret to Everybody
For years, the regulars at Leroy’s Pub have treated Zelda Jordan like a drive-thru therapist, spilling their darkest sins over pork rinds and cheap Rolling Rock. Tonight, she’s got other plans. Armed with a notebook full of weaponized poetry and a double shot of liquid courage, Everly Heights’ favorite punk-rock bartender takes the whole town apart at the Leroy’s Pub Open Mic night. A story of a woman who’s finally done being the inciting incident in everybody else’s story.
NEXT TIME: Meet Danny Chance, kid detective with the freaky good luck in our 3-part finale.

No YouTube version this week, because I’m making a full-on short film version using animation in After Effects. A little look at the project:

It’ll show up on my YouTube channel when it is done… Soon-ish. But first…
The Final Few Episodes… For now.

The upcoming “Danny Chance” trilogy starts up soon. These three episodes will release all in one week, hopefully. I’ve had them in the the can for awhile and the cast did a great job with them. This trilogy is about a kid detective who grows up without growing, a natural season finale for this batch of Everly Heights Tales.
See you next week!
